I grew up skiing, hiking and climbing in the beautiful mountains of Northern Utah. Because I love kids and I love being outside, I earned a B.A. in Human Development with a minor in Recreational Planning. I am a graduate of the NOLS Outdoor Educator course and I am a certified Wilderness First Responder.

Since moving to Wilmington I have taken up flat water kayaking and SUPing. I have loved exploring the East Coast with my husband and three boys ages 9, 6, and 3! I have been taking my boys camping since my oldest son was 2 months old. I love to explore outside with them and I can't wait to share my love of nature and the outdoors with other children as well.

I grew up surfing, kayaking, and fishing in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. In 2014 I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Human Communication from the University of Central Florida. In 2015 I graduated from the NOLS Alaska Sea Kayaking course and am a certified Wilderness First Responder.

I currently live in Tucson, Arizona where I work for NOLS Southwest as the Rations & Kitchen Manager. While living in the desert I have developed a love for rock climbing and trail running.

As a NOLS employee I get my summers off, so I decided to share my love for the outdoors and my passion for outdoor education with the kids at Camp C.L.I.M.B.

I am a high school special education teacher that loves the outdoors! Originally I'm from Western North Carolina and came to Wilmington to attend UNCW and I haven't left. My favorite outdoor activities are: hiking, mountain biking, and recently I've taken up paddle boarding! When I'm not in the classroom you can usually find me at the beach playing in the water. I am a certified lifeguard and water safety instructor. I love the kids at camp C.L.I.M.B. and I look forward to helping kids of all abilities interact together outside.
